A High–Low Voltage Static Var Generator (SVG) is an advanced dynamic reactive power compensation system designed to stabilize voltage, improve power factor, reduce flicker, and enhance power quality in both high‑voltage (HV) and low‑voltage (LV) electrical networks. SVGs use fast‑acting, solid‑state power electronic converters (typically IGBT/IGBT modules) to generate or absorb reactive power in real time, enabling precise control of system voltage and reactive power flow across a wide range of load conditions from small industrial plants to large power systems.

“High–Low Voltage” SVGs are versatile solutions that can be configured to operate at medium/high voltage levels (e.g., 3.3 kV, 6 kV, 10–11 kV) on one side and support reactive power injection into low‑voltage networks (e.g., 380 V, 690 V) on the other (either via transformer coupling or modular converter topologies).
